The amazing story of God’s redemption and blessing of four refugees from South Sudan as described by Henry Okumu, African Director of SEA Partners. These four girls have been supported by SEA Partners and their generous donors.
August 8, 2014, was the end of 2nd school term for 2014. Report cards showed that the foster girls we support from Boma had worked hard and done well in the term’s examinations; but one girl, Kaka Gain, had done particularly so well that she deserves special mention.
Kaka Gain finished 2nd in her class. Praise the Lord.
“Whatsoever thy had findeth to do, do it with thy might….” so said the preacher in Ecclesiastes……. These words of wisdom from the Holy Bible seem to have been internalized by one of our foster girls Kaka Gain. When Kaka and the other foster girls arrived in Kitale, Kenya they were sick and traumatized by what they had seen as a result of the war in their country, South Sudan. Having received love and care in her new home, she has found bearing and is beginning to pursue her academic endeavors with all her might. At the end of Second Term, she attained second position out of the 37 students in the 3rd grade at Forest School…and she seems set for the top position in the near future. We praise God for her.
The other girls have also worked very hard and recorded performances that are above average. They continue learning and strive to do even better.

The other thing to celebrate about the girls love for the church, and their commitment to developing personal relationship with their creator, redeemer and savior – the Lord Jesus Christ.
The girls celebrated their good academic performance and feel encouraged more than ever before to aim higher and achieve better results in their studies.
Thank you for your prayers and support on their behalf. I urge you to continue praying for them as they grow in wisdom and stature. The support given by the SEA Partners’ donors is having a tremendous effect on the lives of these four girls. God is using your gifts to bless the lives of the refugee children.
