Encourage Peace in South Sudan

Peace in South Sudan seems like an impossible task. Tribal in-fighting over the last three years has forced millions of people to seek refuge in Kenya, Uganda and Ethiopia. There are times when I feel like its hopeless but we must encourage peace in South Sudan.
Fortunately, there is one organization that feels otherwise. The Coalition of Advocates for South Sudan (CASS) is committed to finding a just and lasting peace in South Sudan and SEA Partners has been an active participant in their organization. As a financial sponsor and member of this coalition, SEA Partners is standing side-by-side with them to establish peace in this war-torn area. It is a huge undertaking, but God has given us this platform to aid in the peace process. We want to encourage peace in South Sudan.

Peace Conference

On September 30th, CASS is holding their third annual conference in Des Moines, Iowa. The conference is titled, “UNITY IN DIVERSITY FOR PEACE: Using Non-Violent Means to End the Conflict in South Sudan.” People from all over the world will be coming to this conference to find common ground in which to pursue a lasting peace. This is a critical time for South Sudan and CASS intends to be a part of the solution.

I personally want to invite you to join us for this conference in Des Moines. The conference begins on Saturday, September 30th and ends on Sunday, October 1st at noon. Please consider attending this conference. Registration is only $30.

 

If you are unable to attend, please consider a donation to help support the conference. CASS recently received its non-profit, 501 (c) 3 status and is a tax exempt charitable organization. We need your support. It is a very expensive undertaking to hold a conference like this and yet it is critically important.
