Elizabeth’s Heart for Boma

by | Nov 17, 2016 | Christianity, Evangelism, South Sudan News | 0 comments

Elizabeth Guerino went to Boma in 2013 with her dad as members of a team from Harvest Community Church in Hillsboro, OR.  Her dad, Matt, is the pastor of the church. Elizabeth’s heart for Boma had been seen for many years and this trip made some deep impressions on her spirit. Now, 3 years later, she has gone off to college in Southern California with a goal of becoming a missionary nurse. She had a lasting impact on the people of Boma as her genuine love and enthusiasm for them was obvious.

The impact that Boma had on Elizabeth now can be experienced on the wall of her college dorm room. As you can see below, Elizabeth is intent on letting others know of her love for the Sudanese people and the blessing that her trip was for her personally. Thank you, Elizabeth, for your willingness to go and to take the living Christ in you to a very difficult place. And thank you for continuing to be an ambassador of what God is doing in Boma, South Sudan.

I wanted you to meet Elizabeth to illustrate the many unique ways you can be involved in blessing people on the other side of the globe. Whether it’s helping to provide for needs by including these people financially or by making your dorm wall a statement of the plight of others who do not share in our prosperity, there are as many ways to become involved as there are hearts willing to be used.

If you would like to become more involved in the work in Boma, go to our website and see how you can be a part of God’s work in Boma. As seen in I Timothy 1:1-4,  “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

God is at work in every situation and in every person on this planet. Elizabeth’s heart for Boma is clear. Would you please join her?

Sharing In His Many Blessings With You;
